Why I’m Running – Part 1

I’m decided to re run in the 2026 Municipality or Victoria and as Council member this time around I think we need to remove this second term no resident (SAANICH resident) mayor from office .TAXPAERY can’t afford another 4 years of mismanagement

My reason is many most of all is her management and bad spending habits and the treatment of Taxpayers ,small business owners ,landlords, Voters and commercial on resident building owners and to fix all the damage to Downtown VICTORIA streets disorder . At the end of the day her spending will and has effected the TAXPAYERS of Victoria for the next 20 years .het moving money from one account to another to fix a problem her and the last mayor have caused us such as the last 10.2 million in a n election year to make her look good .The last straw was the turning of a rented property at 2920 Bridge ,Street a commercial building being renovated by the Mayor without the knowledge of the property owner using her power and no consolations with the neighborhood at taxpayers expense to change the building to a residential building to house 35 people to feed them house them and give them laundry services and hire a nonprofit not from Victoria and BC housing funded by taxpayers funds .And raise property taxes to pay for one of her many projects of hers

The way Mayor and council and city manager and city staff who advise mayor and council have all failed Taxpayers in their decisions and spending habits and telling us how to live. The money collected by property taxes and other means such as parking fees, parking fines, utility bills extra have been mismanaged money moved from one account to another is not the way to go (robbing Peter to pay Mary)

The pool project will put TAXPAYERS in a bad way for the next 20 YEARS the way the taxpayers were put on the hook is wrong .having a referendum was the wrong way to go as it should have been sent out in my opinion in your next property tax notice as TAXPAYERS and those who Own commercial property a lot of whom don’t live in Victoria had no say but have to pay the rate of the bill for the next 20 plus years . Mayor and council used this to their benefit . With no grants or money put aside for this so far for this project .Except the 17 million taken from Parking money collected from 4 to 8 parking to pay to clean up downtown to make it cleaner will be used to build a new paraded at the pool

Nonprofits and their COEs have made lots of money to pay their selves a good salary and help their cause and get free building and land such as Dowler place received 1.2 million to by the property no sure if City of Victoria is on the deed to the land as TAXPAYERS paid for it but also gave them money to run it ,then the mayor had city staff get them a 2million federal grant to run the facility with little to no proof where the money is spent only my guess CEO and staff make good sealeries . Again another place TAXPAYERS didn’t want

Bad contracts BC Lions game received a Bill after the games to pay the expense of the teams here and lodge them feed them and whatever they needed .

The Harbor Cats had to move out to Nanaimo as the game was scheduled when they made the playoffs

The Harbor cats again have to fix a problem the city caused as they Signed a contract with a Soccer team to move from Langford who seem to be lacking in Paying the rent in a timely manner in Langford

Nonprofits contract are not disclosed to the public and TAXPAYERS

In Closing I’m Angy with Taxpayers who reelect bad Mayor’s and councilors who don’t care about our city . I’m Born and raised here, live ,pay property taxes, Utilities bills and a small business owner who finds it hard not to be able to afford to stay here . I really don’t want to sell and move to somewhere
